Details:  Chronic stress is common in our hectic lives and will impact our adrenal glands’ production of the major stress hormone cortisol. This hormone has a role in our stress tolerance and response, energy levels, immune function, blood sugar balance and sleep-wake cycle. Low levels of cortisol, also known as adrenal fatigue, can be a major cause of symptoms and illness including fatigue, anxiety, pain, insomnia, frequent infections, autoimmune illness, sugar cravings and low blood pressure. In this seminar Dr. Veeravagu will review the causes of adrenal imbalances, saliva hormone testing to assess cortisol levels and treatment options to restore optimal adrenal function.
