Epsom Salt baths have wonderfully beneficial properties that cleanse the mind and body. For many, the New Year signals a time to start fresh, get a gym membership or do a cleanse, but in the middle of a cold winter, finding the motivation may be the hardest part. A 10 minute soak in a warm bath with 1-2 cups of Epsom salts 1-3 times per week will instantly calm the nervous system, and relieve tension and stress in the body.
A naturally occurring mineral compound of Magnesium and Sulfate, Epsom Salt penetrates the skin when dissolved in warm water, creating the ideal environment for detoxification. The warmth of the bath increases circulation to our organs and tissues, while the sulfates help flush toxins and heavy metals by actually pulling salts out of the body bringing the toxins with them. By encouraging elimination through the skin, Epsom salt soaks help restore normal function of the skin and will help relieve and heal many skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, or minor wounds.

Epsom Salts are relatively inexpensive and are available at most pharmacies and health stores. This is an easy addition to any cleansing program, and can be used by almost anyone to improve energy and motivation, while relaxing and unwinding.
