Dr. Julie Moore graduated from the Canadian College of
Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario in 2003. In 2004 she became licensed in British Columbia, where she
set up private practice in downtown Vancouver for one year before joining Sage
Clinic. Her undergraduate degree
from the University of Western Ontario in Biology focused mainly on Zoology,
Genetics, and Environmental Ecology as she has always had an enthusiasm for the
conservation of our earth and our animals.
Long before she went to University she knew of her passion for
Naturopathic Medicine and found her studies in ecology and environment extremely
relevant, as the health of our earth correlates to the health of her occupants.
Dr. Moore is originally from a small town in Ontario called
St. Jacobs. After leaving for
University in the city, she began to truly realize the value of the simple
lifestyle and saw the need for civilization in general to take a step back and
find our roots. As a Naturopathic
Physician, Dr. Moore guides her patients back to their roots using gentle
techniques to restore balance to the body, mind and soul.
After a thorough health and lifestyle intake, including
physical exam and laboratory testing, Dr. Moore develops individual treatment
protocols using one or more modalities. These
modalities are: Lifestyle Counseling, Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine,
Constitutional (and Acute) Homeopathy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
She is also certified in Acupuncture and Chelation Therapy.
Her Bodywork modality of choice is Bowen Therapy, an energetic form of
body rebalancing to restore chronic conditions or treat acute injuries.
Dr. Moore treats many different conditions and patients of
all ages. Some areas of expertise
are women’s health (PMS, Endocrine disorders, Menopause, Endometriosis),
Gastrointestinal Diseases (Crohn’s, Ulcerative colitis, Celiac), Nervous
system disorders (insomnia, anxiety and depression, mood disorders), Chronic
conditions (fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic infections).
Aside from treating diseases, Dr. Moore’s main goal is actually to
facilitate health. With general
detoxification protocols and ongoing Naturopathic care, healthy people become
even healthier facilitating prevention of disease.
Dr. Moore has also worked with athletes coordinating nutrition protocols,
proper supplementation, and injury rehabilitation.
Dr. Moore loves spending time outdoors gardening, hiking,
camping and appreciating nature. She
is passionate about wildlife conservation.
She likes to have fun and be with friends and family, and also
appreciates quiet meditation and time alone.
