Dr. Lisa Polinsky grew up in Victoria, attended UVIC and obtained her naturopathic medical degree from the National University of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon ‘99. She completed a postgraduate residency and practiced for three years in Oregon before returning to join Sage Clinic in ‘02.
Her UVIC degree in Psychology and prior career in Human Resources helped fuel her interest in workplace wellness and corporate presentations.
Dr. Polinsky treats: women’s health issues (menopause, peri-menopause, PMS, infertility, and perinatal care, PP depression); hormone imbalances (adrenal and thyroid issues); mental health (depression, insomnia, mood disorders, anxiety, stress); digestive imbalances (IBS, Crohn’s, leaky gut/malabsorption, anemia, food sensitivities); and autoimmune conditions (RA, thyroiditis, MS, fibromyalgia). She sees her role as coach and guide in helping others achieve a higher state of health.
In 2017 and 2018, Dr. Polinsky attended trainings by Dr. William Walsh (author of Nutrient Power) of the Walsh Research Institute and is at the leading edge of doctors in Canada offering this approach for mental health concerns. Dr. Walsh teaches that nutrient imbalances can be a cause underlying anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. Dr. Polinsky has access to the specialized lab testing and nutrient protocols that Dr. Walsh has fine-tuned over his impressive 35 year career. Testing for Whole Blood Histamine, Kryptopyrrole, Plasma Zinc and Serum Copper levels is available through DHA labs.
Dr. Polinsky embraces Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, Biotherapeutic Drainage (a European-based treatment), Clinical Nutrition, EAV evaluations and Microcurrent therapy in her practice.
Dr. Polinsky believes that health is achieved through a balance of the physical state combined with emotional and spiritual health. Her personal philosophy connects to the works of Eckhardt Tolle The Power of Now, A New Earth, and Miguel Ruiz The Four Agreements.
Dr. Polinsky is available for corporate wellness presentations and in-house ‘lunch and learn’ events. She has appeared on TV, written many articles and enjoyed several years as a regular guest on CFAX radio.
