Optimal health and wellness is a continuous journey. Navigating that journey requires knowledge, creativity, compassion and above all, a practitioner that listens to you and honours your experiences. I want to provide my patients with the best care possible by continuously advocating for them, collaborating with their healthcare team and using evidence-based integrative medicine.
I focus my practice on gastrointestinal disorders (IBS and SIBO), hormone balancing (PMS, perimenopause, menopause, PCOS and thyroid disorders) and skin conditions (acne, eczema, rosacea and psoriasis). I am passionate about the root cause of many of these concerns: the health and wellness of the digestive tract and microbiome.
In addition to seeing patients in the clinic, I am also the Sage Clinic SIBO Lab consultant for physicians and do speaking events on SIBO for healthcare providers.
Dr. Hassall received her undergraduate science degree from the University of Alberta and then went on to study education at the University of British Columbia. After teaching secondary sciences in Vancouver for several years, she decided to return to school to study naturopathic medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. As a clinical intern at BINM, Dr. Hassall worked in a number of external clinics in Vancouver with special populations that included HIV+, pediatric/family, people with chronic disease and LGBT folks. After four years of study and clinical internship, Dr. Hassall was awarded the Academic Excellence Award and became a licenced naturopathic physician.
